
The world's biggest ever geological mapping project, One Geology, has revealed what our world looks like when it is stripped bare of all its plants, topsoil, water and man-made structures (see cover),Daily Mail reported. One Geology coordinator Ian Jackson said, "Geological maps are essential tools in finding natural resources, and when planning to mitigate geohazards, like earthquakes, volcanoes and radon."
