回答：yonghuaduan 级别：六年级 2007-05-28 18:54:26 来自：湖北省孝感市	第一空用what引导主语从句，连词在从句中作主语，what is known to us all is that... 第二空是这样的，把它还原后你就知道了：对他来说生活很困难，怎么说？Life is hard for him.而不是For his life is difficult.既然是这样，那么改成定语从句就是for whom life is hard.全句连起来， What is known to us all is that the old scientist still works very hard in his eighties,for him life was hard in the past.
