I’m Tony from the United States. And in my first year in high school I went to study music in London and I stayed in someone’s home. I have to say one thing that really troubled me was that it often rained. I had to take an umbrella with me whenever I went out. But the people there were very friendly. I was also surprised by many differences in the language. They said "film" for "movie" and "ring you up" instead of "give you a call" and things like that. It took me a little time to understand it all. But it was fun.
