65-year-old American filmmaker Tim Burton was moved to tears when applause continued for several minutes as he received the lifetime achievement Lumière Award in Lyon, France.He said, “All my life put together, I've never felt so much love as tonight.It is such an honor to be in the birthplace of cinema. This is one of the most beautiful, pure, simple festivals I have ever been to.” When asked about his impressions looking back to his 40-year-old career, Tim Burton smiled and said, “I really feel emotional and energetic. Each film is meaningful and deep.” Despite his long experience, Burton still feels that he wants to create more movies for children and adults.For this reason, he decided to have the experience of making the Wednesday series for Netflix.“As a character, Wednesday reminds me of myself when I was a teenager.
