Have you ever heard the expression "Some days it's just better to stay in bed"? Well, I had one of those days last week. It was the day for school pictures. After I got dressed, I gave the cat some food. Normally, that would keep him quiet, but that day, he was still excited about something. I sat down and had milk and eggs for my breakfast. My mother was making my lunch. Suddenly she shouted, "A mouse! It's a mouse!" She quickly jumped up on a chair and told me to get a box. But just at that moment, our dog came running into the room to see what all the excitement was about. He saw the milk on the floor and ran towards it just as I was going the other way. I fell over and knocked my mother off the chair. Sometimes I wonder if the cat planned the whole thing. You know what? Maybe I should have just stayed in bed.
