1.M: Where are you going during the Spring Festival, Millie?

W: I'm not sure. But I want to see the Great Wall very much.

2.W: I want to have a picnic next Sunday. What will the weather be like?

M: It will be sunny. We can go for a picnic.

3.M: What is David doing?

W: He is looking for his umbrella. He wants to go out.

4.M: What do you think is the least comfortable way to travel, Jenny?

W: Well, many people think travelling by air and by train is uncomfortable, but I think a bus ride could be the worst.

5.M: How many places of interest did you visit during the trip?

W: Let me see. Tian'anmen Square, Beihai Park, the Great Wall and the Summer Palace.

6.W: Would you please tell me when Shirley will arrive?

M: She will get here at half past four. But there is so much traffic on the road. She needs another fifteen minutes.

7.W: Excuse me! Can I take your order?

M: Yes. I want some rice with potatoes.

8.M: How was your school trip, Liu Hui?

W: Oh, it was great. I went camping and the weather was fine.

9.W: You don't look well, Simon. Shall I call the doctor?

M: No, thank you. I am just  thirsty and hungry.

10.M: I'm going hiking tomorrow. What about you, Sandy?

W: I'm going to see monkeys in the zoo with my classmates.

M: Yes. We're going to visit the Xuanwu Lake Park.

W: When and where shall we meet?

M: We'll meet at the school gate at 7:30 in the morning.

W: How shall we go there?

M: We will go there by bus.

W:Students in Grade Eight had a school trip on Children's Day. They went to the city zoo by bus. They sang and talked loudly on the way. Everyone was excited about the trip. When they got to the zoo, they saw many interesting animals.  At 11 a.m., they watched an animal show at the zoo theatre. They liked the show and they thought the monkeys were the cleverest and did the best of all. There was also a flower show in the zoo. They took many photos there. They went back to school at about 3 in the afternoon. The teachers were very happy because the students cleaned the buses after the trip.

M:Mike is from Canada. Now he works as a waiter in New York City. Every August he has one week off to travel. Last summer, he decided to take a trip to San Francisco in the USA. He didn't want to take a plane there. He really wanted to see more places of interest in the USA, so he decided to take a train from New York City to San Francisco. The train left the station in New York City at 10:30 p.m. on Monday. Mike tried to sleep that night, but he couldn't because he was so excited. He hoped to see the sights the next day. He thought his trip would be wonderful.
