1.W: What club did you join last week, Tony?

M: I joined the English club. My teacher suggests I should work with others.

听下面一段对话，回答第6、7题。

M: Hi, Lingling! How is it going?

W: Not bad! I just came back from my foreign language class.

M: Oh, me too. I'm studying Chinese this term. How about you?

W: English.

M: How is it?

W: It is interesting. Our teacher is really nice, but I can't understand her sometimes. I'm not sure if I can do well in it.

M: Just keep trying. I believe you can.

W: Thank you.

听下面一段对话，回答第8至10题。

W: You look worried, Daming.

M: Oh, I'm having trouble in learning English, Ms James.

W: You said you like English. What's the matter?

M: I can't get the pronunciation right.

W: Why don't you join the English club to practise speaking English? The English club meets after school on Wednesdays.

M: That's a good idea. But sometimes I don't understand what people are saying.

W: Well, maybe you should do some listening exercises first. You can listen to English programmes at home and practise speaking the sentences.

M: That might really help! But what about the new words?

W: You can write the new words in your notebook. And try to use them.

M: I see. Thanks a lot.

三、短文理解

M: Everyone has a hobby. My hobby is keeping a diary in English.

When I was twelve years old, I started my hobby. At first it seemed hard for me, but now it is easy. After school I often go to the school library to read English books. Sometimes my English teacher tells some interesting things to me. After I finish my diary every day, I always try to correct mistakes with the help of the dictionary. Now my English is very good.

I love my hobby. It helps me a lot to learn English well.
