M: Today, our program's guest is Nancy, who works as a photographer for a fashion magazine. Glad to see you, Nancy!
W: Glad to see you, Ethan!
Text 2
W: Which is your favorite TV channel?
M: I like to watch the sports channel most, but sometimes I also watch discovery, history and news channels.
Text 3
M: So this Guernica painted by Pablo Picasso, why do you like it?
W: Well, it's about the Spanish Civil War, showing a bombing attack on a town. I like it because it really makes you think about what happened on that day.
Text 4
M: I don't want to play anymore. This game is no fun. I have something to do, anyway.
W: I don't believe you. You always give up when you know you can't win.
M: That's not true. My mom just called me and told me to come home.
Text 5
W: I'm thirsty after that race.
M: This green tea is really good. I bought it over there in the cafe.
W: Do they have orange juice?
M: I don't think so, but they've got hot chocolate if you prefer that.
Text 6
M: Amanda, could you make a call to the cinema to see if there are still some seats left for the movie this afternoon?
W: I've already booked tickets online for the two o'clock movie. I'm thinking of picking them up from the ticket office on the way to the restaurant. What do you think?
M: OK. Well, the Smiths want to bring our appointment forward by a half hour. That means we should be there at 11:30.
W: Then we don't have enough time. We'd better get moving. Oh, before I forget, can you remind me to stop by the bookstore on the way back home? I have to order a book there.
M: OK.
Text 7
M: You've got a German accent. Have you ever lived in Germany?
W: Yes, I spent three years in Munich. My father worked there in a computer company.
M: Really? What were the people there like?
W: They were extremely friendly. My neighbor was really a nice girl. She always tried to speak with me in simple German, and I could communicate with others little by little.
M: That's really great.
W: Yes. What about you? Have you ever been to Germany?
M: No, I haven't, but I've been to the United States. I went there on a school exchange.
W: Where did you go?
M: I went to Red Bluff in California.
W: Well, my mother waits for a chance to go sightseeing there.
Text 8
M: Let's plan a trip for the summer break.
W: All right. I heard there are some little villages with beautiful scenery and interesting shops.
M: Oh no. We don't have that much money to do some shopping.
W: You're right. Anyway, I'd like to have a look. I just heard there is some really nice art in the villages. The best place to find a good variety of local artworks such as paintings and handmade jewelry is Richmond. The only trouble is that there aren't any places to eat. Luckily, there are some great restaurants and cafes in Rosemount 15 minutes by bike away from it. And Sun Valley, which is a ten-minute walk from Richmond is also famous for its local foods.
M: Great! Are there any youth hotels around there?
W: Yes, there's one in Richmond. But what about sleeping in a tent? We haven't done that for ages and we don't have much money to stay in a hotel.
M: Sounds fun.
Text 9
M: Excuse me, have you seen an old woman come into your store in the last hour?
W: We've had several customers. What does she look like?
M: She's my grandmother. She's about 5 feet tall. She has a green jacket and blue jeans.
W: Yes, I think she was in here. She was looking at the T-shirts. She said she wanted a red one as a present.
M: She's not supposed to leave the house, but I had to go to work this morning because a colleague needed my help.
W: She bought a hat, so she might be wearing it. It was a blue one.
M: Did she say where she was going?
W: No, she just said that she was hungry. There is a small restaurant down the stairs. Maybe you can try there.
M: That is very helpful, thank you. If you see her, could you give me a call? Here's my number.
W: Certainly. I'll let the security staff of the shopping center know as well. I hope you can find her.

W: School radio station, this is Jane broadcasting. There will be a football match between our school team and the visiting Brazilian team on the school playground tomorrow. The match starts at half past nine in the morning, so the first lesson has been cancelled. Do remember to arrive at the playground and be seated by nine.We had a match with them last year. The score was three to two, and the year before, four to two. We hope we can win the match this time. Our players say they have confidence and they also want to have a fair match with the competitors. Although it is the middle of July when we have the hottest sunny days of a year, it is kind of cloudy and windy. We think both the players and the audience will feel more comfortable. There will be culture exchange activity afterwards. As scheduled, they'll learn how to make Chinese paper cutting. We'll give them some famous local paper cutting works as gifts. Thanks for listening.
