A man found a horse in his yard one day. It looked lost and thirsty, so he gave it water. Then, he got on its back and guided it toward the road. The man let the horse trace its steps. They came to a path at the edge of the woods, and the horse turned onto it. After some time, they left the woods and crossed a big field. At the end of it, a farmer was waiting. He smiled and said, "I know Polaris would find her way home. She always does."

How can horses find their way back from a strange environment? For most people, that would be impossible without a map. Horses have a special system in their brains, and it works just like GPS. It shows signs for trees and other objects in their home areas. It also takes note of new things in new areas. When horses pay their attention to those signs, they know which direction to take. Who needs a self-driving car when you can have a horse? You’ll always get home safe and sound. Why not keep a horse even in a highly developed world? Above all, they are environmentally friendly.
