W: I made reservations for them last week and checked again yesterday to be sure everything would be ready.
M: Including the conference hall for tonight’s reception?
W: That’s right. The manager promised me that everything would be exactly perfect as we had requested.
M: Excellent. I want everything to be the very best.
W: I’m sure it will be. That manager has never let us down yet.
M: We should make a good impression, not just to make sure that this business deal is a success, but to repay the treatment we received from Mr.Black in Tokyo last year.停顿 00′02″

W: Yes, I do feel a little bit sad.
M: Why? Is the schoolwork too hard for you or is there a problem at home?
W: No, no. It’s Tony.
M: Ah, boyfriend trouble?
W: No, Tony is my cat. He was lost last week. He is my best friend.
M: Oh, I’m sorry to hear that. I know how that feels and getting a new cat doesn’t always help.
W: I couldn’t do that.
M: Sarah, I’m going to give you a book to real. It might help you deal with your feelings.
W: OK. I will try to focus on my lessons.

W: Oh! Oh! Please, please pick me.
M: Anna?
W: Thanks. Here is my report on "Violins in the City". People have been looking for a solution to the problem of violins in the city. I think they are not problems! In fact, violins create beautiful music that can fill a city with hope.
M: Anna...
W: If we put a violin in the hands of every child...
M: Anna! The topic is "Violence in the City". Violence. Not violins.
W: Uh... Like what I was saying, many people are saying that violence in the city is a problem. A very big problem...

M: You’re about to finish high school, and I want to share what I did when I was your age. I was lucky at that time, because your grandfather was so supportive. He always firmly believed in me — the same way that I believe in you. That’s why, after graduating from high school in New York, your grandparents sent me on a trip to Asia to learn more about life. I landed in India as a fresh-faced 18-year-old teenager with endless curiosity about the world. There, I worked at a school in exchange for food and a place to stay. Although I didn’t earn any money, I was happy and learned so much about life. From there, I flew to Australia and got my first job. That position wasn’t an office job or anything fancy. I painted houses in the sun for 12 hours a day. I’m telling you this story not to encourage you to have a similar experience, but to inspire you to do as much as you can in your teens and early 20s. You’ll be glad you do that.
