My parents died in a car accident when I was a kid, and I was raised by my uncle. I went to a cooking school, and when I graduated, my uncle gave me some money to open a restaurant. I had to go around the city doing interviews about the popular dishes, and I always had to be thinking of new things to do in the kitchen. I never got breaks, and I worked a whole week without one day off work. Sometimes, I wanted to quit. But every time I got frustrated, I would look over at my uncle working just as hard as me, tired but happy as always. Then I would see all those people laughing with their families as they enjoyed their meals. I realized that I had the greatest job in the world. I wasn't just cooking food. I was serving up happiness to total strangers and making them feel at home.
