M: Well, my car didn't start and I had to get it repaired. My dog ran away this morning, and I had to find him. But you know me, I always have bad Mondays. I had a great weekend, but this morning is awful! I just want an ordinary day. 

W:I'm going to give you your coffee for free today. You have had such a bad time! 

M: Wow, thanks! I feel a little bit better already.Are you sure you can do that? 

W:Yes, no problem. You come into this coffee shop every day! I hope your day gets better.

W: No. I finished learning this language last week.And now I'm preparing for learning Chinese.  

M: Wow, you'll learn a new language again. I know you've also learned French.Why do you want to learn so many foreign languages? Your work doesn't require that and you hardly go abroad.  

W:I just love learning languages. Besides, I've got a lot of free time. I want to find something to do. 

M: Now I see.Then you might be interested in watching a TV show titled Focus Interview. 

W: Why do you think so?

M: It's a show in Chinese. Watching it may help you learn the language better.  

W: You're right. I'll give it a shot.By the way, how is your work recently? 

M:It still keeps me very busy. There are just too many patients in the hospital. 

W: Well, don't forget to take a holiday when you can.

M: I will. I really admire you. Working at the school allows you to have a lot of time of your own.

　　M:Did you know that, besides famous larger places, Europe is home to several extremely tiny countries? One of these countries covers less than a square mile of land. Yet each is an independent land, with its own government, trade, and customs.One of the best-known countries of these small countries is Monaco. Monaco became well-known to Americans when its ruler, Prince Rainier, married an American actress. The ruler's family has ruled Monaco almost continuously since 1297. Andorra, with an area of some 180 square miles, is larger than Monaco. Potatoes and tobacco are grown in Andorra's steep mountain valleys. One of the products it exports is clothing. Andorra is also known for its excellent skiing locations. Another tiny European country is Liechtenstein, with about 40,000 people who speak mostly German. Liechtenstein has been an independent country since the 1860s. Many businesses have their headquarters there because they are taxed at a lower rate. Other small, independent states in Europe include San Marino, where tourism makes a major contribution to the people's income. It has many unique qualities as well.
