M: Who do you think will get this year's Young Star Award in our Maths Club, Kitty?

W: I think Nancy will. She is very organized. She plans everything very well and she keeps all the things in our club in good order. She is energetic, too. She never feels tired when she works.

M: Yes. I think Daniel is great too. He is quite creative. He always comes up with good ideas. He is also an active boy and he takes part in all of our activities.

W: We have so many good members. I love them.

M: Yes! We are both classmates and good friends.

W: Let's go and see them.

   W: In the past, after students graduated from college and got jobs, only some of them went on with their study. But today, lifelong learning is becoming more and more common. 

Mary, who is forty, teaches Physics at a college in Boston. "Next term, I'll teach some of my classes by using the Internet. This is the way of teaching that I've never used before. These days, I am taking a class to learn how to teach in this way. If not, I will lose my job." At the same time, Mary's seventy-year-old parents, who live in New York, are taking an art history class online. "We love this subject," said her father, "and we learn it to enjoy ourselves. M:Most Western people believe 12 star signs and they think that one's date of birth decides his or her star sign. They also think that people born under different star signs have different personalities. In their opinion, if you were born on 16th May, you should be hard-working and patient. You do not like change, and never give up easily.

Is it completely right? I don't think so. A person's birthday can't be decided by himself or herself. But his or her personality can be changed by the environment around him or her. I have a friend. He was born on 15th April and belongs to Aries. According to the information about Aries, he should sometimes be too impatient and always want to become a leader. But actually my friend always does things patiently and he isn't interested in becoming a leader and just does what he should do. So I think not all the people born under the same star sign share similar personalities.
