第一部分 听对话回答问题

本部分共有10道小题，每小题你将听到一段对话，每段对话听两遍。

1. W:What art form do you like best, Jim?

M: I like music best because it makes me feel relaxed.

2. M:Shall we meet now?

W: Sorry, it's nine and I'm having a meeting now. Let's meet two hours later.

3. W:Which novel would you like to read in the coming vacation, Daniel?

M: I am planning to read Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens.

4. W:Can you play the guitar?

M: Sorry, I can't. But I can play the drums.

5. W:What do you want to be when you grow up, Jim?

M: I want to be a composer.

6. W:Would you like to go to a classical music centre this evening?

M: Oh, sorry. I prefer country music.

7. W:What do you think of the Dancing Club?

M: I think it's wonderful.

W: Yes. But I like its words best.

本部分共有10道小题，你将听到一段对话和两篇短文，各听两遍。 

听一段对话，回答第11—12小题。

W:What do you usually do in your free time, Frank?

M: I usually listen to music at home.

W: Really? What kind of music do you like?

M: Pop music.

W: Have you heard You Raise Me Up?

M: Of course. It sounds really moving. What about you, Kate?

W: I like rock music.

M: Wow, such a quiet girl like you enjoys rock music.

W: It always makes me feel excited. 

  听第一篇短文，回答第13—15小题，完成信息记录表。 

W: Pipa is a traditional Chinese instrument. I started to learn to play it when I was eleven years old. My aunt was my first teacher. Now I am a student at a college of music. And I am still learning the pipa there. I have a part-time job of playing it in a famous teahouse. All the customers love my shows. When I graduate, I will find a job at a music training school and teach kids to play the pipa.

M: Street dance is popular with many young people today. They like it because they can create their own moves. They use this dance to show their love for life.

Street dance has a history of more than 50 years. It first began in the late 1960s in the US. In the early days, it was seen in New York and California. At that time, many young black people often danced to the music in the street. They used their legs, arms, heads and even shoulders to dance. Many young people still use most of these moves today. 

Street dance became popular all over the world because of the movie Flashdance in 1983. Some people performed street dance in the movie. People enjoyed their performances. They began to dance like them.
