W: Is the news true? It's exciting!

3. W:Dad, I want some milk, please.

M:The milk is sour. Let's go to the shop to get some. 

4. W:Oh,dear! It's time for the news programme.

M: Don't worry. There is still half an hour to go.Let's finish watching A Bite of China first. I really want to try the dishes in this programme.

5. W:Will another NBA basketball match be covered on CCTV-5?

M: No. There will be a football match.

M: Really? I like them both.

7. W:I am looking for the key to the door.Could you please carry the bag for me?

M:OK.No problem. 

8. W:I watched TV last night. What about you, Daniel?

M: I went to the movies with my friends.

9. W:There're too many advertisements on TV now.

M: I agree. We are all made to watch the advertisements every day. It's a waste of time.

10. W:Do you enjoy watching the English programme Star of Outlook on CCTV-10?

M: Yes, I do. I think it very helpful to improve my listening and speaking skills.

听一段对话，回答第11—12小题。

W:It is said that this year's Music Awards will be covered live.

M: Great. When and where will it be held?

W: In Shanghai this coming Sunday.

M: Who will attend it?

W: All the famous stars will attend. And I'm very lucky that I will interview some of the most famous stars.

M: You're lucky enough. By the way, have the fans voted for their favourite songs, singers or music videos?

W: Yes, they have voted online. The results will be announced during the programme.

M: OK. I'll watch the most exciting moment on TV.

  W: Hello,everyone. I'm Amy. My family all like watching TV at home. Watching the news is my favourite. But my sister doesn't like it. She wants to find out the secrets of nature. So her first choice is Discovery Channel. When she is free, she always watches programmes about animals. My father is a worker. He likes watching films alone. He says it is a good way to relax himself. My mother is a teacher. She teaches music in a middle school. After she finishes the housework, she often turns on the TV to listen to music.

  听第二篇短文，回答第16—20小题。

  M: TV has become one important part of modern life. People enjoy themselves after hard work by watching TV. They can watch some plays, some films, some sports matches without going out of the house or spending much money in buying tickets. TV programmes make people's lives more interesting. 

People learn much from TV. Students can study by watching some educational programmes. People can watch the news, weather reports and programmes about science.  

But not all the programmes are good enough. Today, there are too many rude programmes. Some people learn something that is bad for them. And watching TV usually takes too much time. It's not good for people's work and study. It's not good for their eyes, either. So don't watch TV for more than three hours a day. 

Is watching TV a good thing or a bad one? I think it depends on people themselves. If one can choose good programmes and he doesn't spend too much time on TV, it can be a good thing for him.
