本部分共有10道小题，每小题你将听到一段对话，每段对话听两遍。

1. M:My little cousin Jim was badly hurt by a car yesterday. He is in hospital.

W: Oh, really? That's terrible!

2. W:What have you confirmed?

M: We have confirmed the suspect's head was hurt while stealing money.

3. M:A little boy in my neighbourhood was kidnapped yesterday.

W: Is he safe now?

4. W:What's the matter with you?

M:My head hurts. I didn't sleep well last night.

5. M:Where was the body of the victim found?

W: A cleaner found the body of the man at the cinema at 7:28 in the morning.

6. W:What does the criminal look like?

M: He is very tall and strong, and has short brown hair.

7. M:When did the murder take place?

W: Between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. according to the report.

8. W:Have you found any clues to this murder?

M: Yes. And this murder didn't take place in the bank, I'm sure.

9. W:I hear the police will give you an award. Is that true, Tom?

M: Yes. I caught a thief in the supermarket yesterday.

10. W:Who is the first suspect?

M: Jack. Though he was careful enough, he left his fingerprints on the computer screen and the knife. We soon arrested him.

本部分共有10道小题，你将听到一段对话和两篇短文，各听两遍。 

听一段对话，回答第11—12小题。

M: How was your holiday?

W: To be honest,I'm really happy to be home!

M: Why?

W: Well,on the first day at the hotel,someone stole my bag.

M: Did you catch the person?

W: No.Luckily,I had packed my ID card and money in a different bag.

M: Great.

W: The rest of the holiday went well until the last evening.

M: What happened then?

W: Suddenly it became dark in the hotel. The manager had some candles. Then all the guests from different countries sat in the public area and sang songs. That was fun.

W: Last week something happened when I was shopping. I was so afraid! I went into a jewellery shop to buy a gift for my mother. Suddenly, a man about thirty years old quickly took some jewellery and ran out of the shop. At once the shopkeeper phoned the police and they arrived quickly. They asked the shopkeeper and me to go to the police station to make a report. The next day I drove to the police station. I was nervous but the policeman smiled at me and made me feel comfortable. I told him about the criminal and then went home. I still feel lucky and happy that the criminal did not rob me of my purse. I hope I will never experience that again!

M: Two people have been put in prison in Italy. They were caught with the help of a mobile phone. 

These two people moved slowly outside a clothes shop for a long time, and they seemed to have nothing to do. The owner of the shop felt they were unusual. So he used his mobile phone to take their picture. After that he sent a message with the picture to the police. The picture surprised the police，because the people in the picture had done some wrongs, and the police were trying to catch them! A police car was immediately sent to the shop. They were caught there.

The two people would be in prison for six months. A policeman told a newspaper, "We think it is the first time in the world that a picture message has been used to help catch criminals."
