M: Beethoven was born in Germany in 1770. His father was a singer. When he was only four, his father began to make him practice different musical instruments. At the age of seventeen, he won high praise from Mozart.

Beethoven was poor and ill during his life. He was deaf because of a serious disease. But he never gave up. The great musician died in 1827. But his name is still remembered today.
