一、短对话理解

2.W: What do your students often do at weekends?

M: They often go and read in the bookshop.

三、短文理解

M: Maybe Snoopy is the coolest dog in the world; maybe Snoopy is one of the greatest dogs standing on two legs. He is a happy and lucky dog everyone loves. Snoopy is the pet of Charlie Brown, whose name Snoopy could never remember. For Snoopy, his master is just "the round-headed kid" who brings him his meals. Snoopy never speaks, but he can make himself understood with body language. In Snoopy's little head, he is everything but a dog. Since the 1960s, Snoopy has been standing on two legs instead of four and thinking on his own. Here is one perfect example. Charlie once told Snoopy, "Look, Snoopy. That boy throws a branch. Then his dog will run to pick it and bring the branch back." Hearing this, Snoopy picked up a branch and threw it.

W: Anna Sewell was born in England in 1820. She wrote a very popular children's book called Black Beauty. When she was fourteen, she hurt both of her ankles and was unable to walk any more. Anna began to get around in horse-drawn carriages and loved horses as a result. In 1871, a doctor told Anna that she had only eighteen months to live. She was very weak but decided to write a book about a horse. The book was finished and published in 1877. Anna died on April 25th, 1878, five months after her book was published, living long enough to see its success. The novel is about the life of the horse Black Beauty. Anna told the story through a horse's mouth. She wanted people to be kind to horses and other animals.
