第一节：听下面五段小对话。每段对话后有一个小题，从题中所给的A、B、C三个选项中选出正确的选项，并标在试卷的相应位置。听完每段对话后，你都有10秒钟的时间回答有关小题和阅读下一小题。每段对话仅读一遍。

1. M：How do you study for a test, Mary?

  W: By working with my friends, but my brother studies by reading the textbook.

M: These are both good ways. Maybe I should learn from you.

2. M: Look! There is a guitar in the music room. Whose is it ?

  W: Oh, it must belong to Lucy. She loves music.

M: No, it’s not hers. It belongs to Linda. Look! It has her name on it.

3. M: What did Mary use to look like?

W: She used to be thin and have short hair.

M: Really? But now she looks so heavy and has long curly hair.

4. W: I planned to drive to London at the weekend. But I have changed my mind.

W: Grandpa, was your life very difficult when you were a kid?

M: Oh, not really. Why?

W: Well, you didn’t have modern inventions like a telephone, right?

M: Of course we did! How old do you think I am? The telephone was invented in 1876. You need to take a history class, Mary!

W: Haha! How about cars? They weren’t invented yet, were they?

M: Yes, they were. Cars were invented in 1885. My family had a car.

W: Well, did you have a TV?

M: Well, I went into my room and made a lot of noise. I was so loud that they couldn’t hear their music. His friends went home, and my brother was really angry.

W: I can understand why your brother was upset. Did you talk to him? 

M: No, I didn’t. I didn’t see him right away. He had already left the house. When I saw him later, I didn’t say anything.

W: Maybe you should say you’re sorry.

M: Yeah, I guess I should… I’ll talk to him tonight then.

第三节：听下面一段独白。从题中所给的A、B、C三个选项中选出正确的选项，并标在试卷的相应位置。听独白前，你将有25秒钟的时间阅读有关内容。独白读两遍。

I feel really upset these days because of the English test last week. I got a C in it. And my parents were kind of angry. My English teacher said I did well in reading and writing, but I was poor in listening. So I asked him for help. He gave me some suggestions to improve my listening skills. Firstly, before I start to listen to something, I need to relax. I shouldn’t get nervous or excited. Secondly, listen carefully to the first sentence. The first sentence tells a lot about the whole passage. Thirdly, when you’re listening, try to do some thinking. This way you may understand the passage better. Fourthly, listen for just the key words. Finally, don’t think about one or two words for too long. You may hear some words that you don’t know, but don’t spend too much time on them, or you’ll miss more. I hope I can get good grades in the English test next Friday.
