M: Alice, can you tell me about your Dolphin Conservation Charity?

W: Sure. It's a charity that aims to protect dolphins in seas all around the world. It started ten years ago and now it's the second largest animal charity in our city.

M: Your team won an award from the Charity Society last month, right?

W: Yes, it was for our work in educating people. Although it wasn't a large amount of money, it has made our charity widely publicized. In the long term, we hope it'll help us bring in more members.

M: Is it possible to see dolphins in the UK waters?

W: Yes. In several locations. We have a dolphin base in the eastern part of Scotland. It has very little shipping there. But recently, we've been a bit worried. Because oil companies want to increase exploration there. Although there's little pollution from oil, exploration creates lots of underwater noise. That'll influence the dolphins.

M: In that case, what can we do to help?

W: To address the problem, we considered moving the dolphin base, but plenty of funds were needed and it was nearly impossible to realize. So we decided on something else. We launched a project called Adopt a Dolphin. People can select one of our dolphins to sponsor. The money they give will be used to feed and protect the dolphin they choose.
