M: Could you tell me more about the program?

W: Sure. The project was to build roads between villages for better agricultural trade. My job was to help choose the best routes for the roads.

M: How do you find the experience?

W: It was my first experience abroad and I saw how small projects can make a difference. There was some physical work, but we had some machines to help us, and I really enjoyed using what I'd learned in class in real-life situations.

A man, from Orleans, France, has just completed a walk across much of mainland Europe. The man set off from Paris 75 days ago. He completed his 1,450-mile trip today as he arrived in Istanbul. He was greeted by people, many of whom followed his journey through his online blog. The trip was certainly eventful. He slept in a tent along the way and was fed by local people. The money he has raised will go to local children's charities.

A new recipe book is on sale in shops this week. The book, written by the local primary school children, includes regional and international dishes. All of the earnings of the book will go to the local schools involved. They will be used to buy new kitchen equipment for the school canteens.
