W: The water is coming out orange. I guess it isn't safe to drink.  I'm going to check the city website to see if there's a warning.

M: I forgot to tell you that the water department said they would be testing the pipes today.

W: Hello, I’ve just found these dogs abandoned by the side of the road. I didn’t know where to bring them, so I thought the police station was the best.

M: That’s very thoughtful of you. There’s a local animal shelter nearby. Let me call them to see if they can help.

W: What kind of music do you like?

M: Dance music. It has a fast beat and is lively. You prefer classical music, don't you?

W: Yes, I do. I find it very relaxing. That's why I listen to it in the evenings.

M: I must admit that I like several pieces of classical music. It's harder to understand than modern dance music.

W: Classical music is supposed to be good for your brain. Research suggests that students who listen to classical music while studying perform better.

M: Really? Perhaps I should listen to classical music often. I've got a few classical music CDs.

W:Uncle, look what I found when I was cleaning the house the other day.

M: You mean during our annual family thorough cleaning last week?  It's a pity that I went away on business.

W:Everybody found something old and not only is our house shiny, but we also had some fun.

M: I haven't seen this photo album for years. It contains photos of my high school years.

W: Grandma has all your childhood photos in another album. Who is this lovely lady?

M: Oh, that's your Aunt Sue. I met her during my first year of university.

W: She wore long hair and was a lot slimmer than she looks now. I didn't recognize her.

M: Yeah, she has turned heavier since she had our son.

W: That's normal.

M: Hi, I'm Hank. I'm retiring soon , so I'm going around this office to speak to all the recently hired staff members like you.

W: It's an honor.I've been so inspired by the many famous photos you've taken throughout your career.

M: I'm glad to hear that. Are you also a photographer?

W: No. This company's owner hired me and my team as video creators, but I love photography, too.

M: Back in the day, I was a photographer because that was the best way to share information. But nowadays, I admire the modern journalist who use videos.

W: That's interesting. Sharing photos, writing articles and interviews have changed our world. But now I'm wondering what you think is the most critical part of journalism.

M: I've learned that it's not just about being honest and sharing recent events. Although those are crucial, the most essential factor is bringing the world closer together globally.  We must celebrate victories and support others during difficult times.

M: Have you seen the new horror film that came out  last Friday? 

W: Yes, I saw it the day it came out.

M: What do you think?

W: I didn’t really enjoy it. The post said it was the scariest film of the decade. But I thought it was the exact opposite. And I didn’t find it exciting either.

M: That’s a shame. I was going to see it tonight, but I’m having second thoughts now.

W: If you like horror films, then you should probably go and see it. You might have a different opinion.

M: Our opinions on films are usually pretty much the same.

W: Well, if you’re not going to the cinema tonight, do you want to join my friends and me for a game of bowling? We need one more player to make a team of six.

M: Yeah, that sounds like fun! Where are you going?

W: Riverside Bowling. It’s on the south side of the river.

M: Yeah, I know where it is. It's next to the modern art museum.

W: That's the one. We are meeting there at 7:00 p.m.

M: OK, it's only a 15-minute walk from my flat. I will see you then.

W: On a windy Sunday afternoon, little Timmy was at the park, his eyes fixed on the sky where his brand new kite flew high. It was a magnificent, multicolored dragon kite that his grandpa had gifted him for his birthday.  Eager to show off its flight, Timmy had been running across the grass, laughing with delight. Suddenly, a powerful wind pulled the string from his small hands.  Panic flashed across his face as he watched his precious kite drift further and further away. Tears welled up in his eyes as he ran helplessly after it. But it disappeared beyond the treetops. Just when Timmy was about to burst into crying, a teenage boy named Alex noticed his trouble. Without hesitation, Alex rushed in the direction the kite had flown. After a few minutes of searching the bushes, he turned up, kite in hand. Its tail was a bit complicated but perfect.  “Here you go, buddy,” Alex said with a warm smile, handing it back to Timmy.  The little boy's face lit up instantly. And that day, not just the kite but kindness took flight in the park.
