三、短文理解
你将听到一篇短文,短文后有五个小题。请根据短文内容,在每小题所给的A、B、C三个选项中选出一个最佳选项。短文读两遍。
Have you ever tried a marathon? I ran a marathon last year with my parents' encouragement. I felt both nervous and excited when I was waiting on the starting line with other runners.
Soon everyone started running. An hour later, I felt tired and started to slow down. I wanted to give up, but I encouraged myself to hold on and stop at the second resting point. I told myself again and again, “I can do it! Don't give up easily!”
After two hours, I reached the second resting point. I found that I was not as tired as I had supposed, and I kept running. Surprisingly I made my way to the end. My parents and friends cheered for me. Although out of breath, I was proud of myself and smiled happily.
Through this experience, I realized a simple truth: Setting small goals makes it easier to achieve success. The same is true of our studies and life. We should break up our large goal into smaller steps.
四、信息转换

China's 15-year-old Chen Ye won gold in the Men's Park Final of Skateboarding at the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou in 2023.
Chen started getting into this sport in 2016. Although it was really challenging to stay on the board at first, Chen found it very interesting. Every time he became better at the actions, he felt the joy of improving. Gradually, Chen needed a better skatepark for training. To meet the need, his father made a skate bowl himself. Chen was really thankful for his father's support.
As a junior high school student, Chen needed to pay attention to both his schoolwork and skateboarding. He could be free from PE classes, during which he would do schoolwork because he needed to practise in his own skate bowl for hours after returning home. While getting ready for the competition, Chen trained harder at night.
Chen said this experience made him stronger and more confident.
