测试一

Text 1

W: It's already half past three. We'd better hurry up for the performance.

M: Take your time. The performance is to start in 20 minutes.

Text 2

M: Tom's taking my mum and me to Scotland next weekend.

W: That's a long way. Are you going by car or by train?

M: Neither. We're going by plane. He will treat us!

Text 3

W: My throat is burning. I'm going to have some ice cream to cool it.

M: Are you joking? You have a fever! You need something warm. I'll make you a cup of tea.

W: Thank you.

Text 4

W: Professor Smith, I'd like to have your advice on my article.

M: It's good except for some spelling mistakes. What's more, the first paragraph has nothing to do with the article.

W: Thank you very much.

Text 5

M: Sally, would you like to go dancing with us tonight?

W: Justin, I am just not in the mood for that.

Text 6

M: How's the new job, Alison?

W: Well, I'm terribly busy. Every day I meet many people. But I do lots of typing and filing, too.

M: Don't you like being a receptionist?

W: Oh, I enjoy meeting people, and I like answering the phone. But I hate typing, and I can't stand filing.

M: You can go to college, you know. Why don't you study for a year?

W: What do you mean?

M: I mean, you can take a course in business studies. After a year, you will get a diploma. Then you can apply for lots of different jobs.

W: That's a good idea.

Text 7

M: Are you quite independent of your parents now?

W: Yes, as soon as I started my study as a nurse, I stopped asking my parents for money since I got financial support from the government, but I still stay with them a lot.

M: You seem very close to your parents?

W: I am. They never force me to do anything I don't want to do. What about you?

M: Well, I am also fond of my family, but I don't always get on very well with them. They try to control me too much.

W: But they allow you to come to study in England on your own.

M: Yes, but only after a lot of persuasion. Your parents treat you as an adult while mine treat me as a child.

Text 8

M: Honey, how was your morning jog?

W: Very good. I feel quite refreshed now. You should come with me sometime. Exercise is good for you.

M: You know me. I hate running. To be honest, I'd rather watch TV.

W: You can't be too lazy. The doctor suggests you should start playing sports to keep healthy.

M: OK. I'll follow the doctor's advice. But the question is which sport I should begin with.

W: How about swimming?

M: No, I'm afraid of water.

W: Really? How about skiing?

M: I can't. I'm afraid I'd break my leg.

W: Oh, well, is biking OK?

M: Good idea. Not only is it safe, but also it is environmentally friendly.

W: Then it is a deal. I will cycle with you to keep you company.

Text 9

W: It is pouring outside. Do you get wet?

M: No, I took a taxi. It's very nice of you to invite me.

W: I'm very glad you could come, Mr. Simpson. Take a seat. Would you like to have some chicken?

M: Thank you. This is the first time I have come to a Chinese restaurant. I have always longed to have a taste of Chinese food.

W: Great. Chinese dishes are prepared carefully to make sure they are very good in color, flavor and taste.

M: Wonderful. Could you tell me the different features of Chinese food?

W: Generally speaking, Cantonese food is a bit light; Shanghai food is rather oily; and Hunan dishes are very spicy, having a strong and hot taste.

M: I like today's light food. It's the most delicious dinner I've ever had.

W: Well, I'm really glad to hear that, Mr. Simpson. Would you like to try some Hunan dishes as well?

Text 10

M: Boys and girls, may I have your attention, please? Please listen to me for a moment. I want to tell you about the school trip to the Cookery School on 16th February. You have to be outside the school gate at 7:45 because the bus leaves from there at 8:00.

There are some great things to see and do at the Cookery School. We'll see how you can grow your own vegetables in the science room first. We'll learn how to make pizza and chocolate cake in the kitchen, and then we'll eat them in the dining room. Now listen carefully! You need to give me $9.55 before Thursday but please tell your parents that this includes the bus and $6.00 for lunch. You don't have to make sandwiches for this trip and you can't take any food into the Cookery School anyway. Don't forget. You'll need a pencil but you don't have to bring a notebook. We'll prepare it for you. If your parents have any questions, they can phone me at my office, since this is more convenient than sending e-mails. My number is 3874928. OK. I think that's it for now.
