听力测试第五节——J

Hello, everyone. My report today is about growing potato plants. First, I prepare three things. They are a potato with sprouts, a flower’ pot with soil and a camera. Then I spend fifteen days carefully watching my potato grow. On the first day, I can see a tiny sprout has grown from the potato. It is yellow and green. On the sixth day, I see some new progress on the sprout. For example, it has grown taller than before. On the eleventh day, three more new sprouts have grown and green leaves have grown around the sprouts, but they have not grown enough yet. I guess I need to have a bit more patience on the thirteenth day. It continues to grow taller. More new sprouts have grown from the potato. On the fifteenth day, the leaves on the sprouts are three centimeters tall. They are so green. I hope they will soon grow into new potatoes. It’s really interesting to grow potatoes during these fifteen days. I have learned that growing plants is just like trying to succeed with anything in life. It takes not only time, but also lots of efforts and patience.
