W: Sultan Kösen, born on December 10th, 1982, is a Turkish farmer who became the Guinness World Records holder for the tallest living male at 246.5 centimeters in 2009. Kösen’s growth was caused by medical conditions. And because of these, he needs help to walk, let alone help his family with farm work. Also, Kösen was unable to complete his education because of his height. He described the advantages of being tall as being able to see a great distance and help his family with tasks such as changing light bulbs. And he listed disadvantages as not being able to find clothes or shoes that fit as well as fitting into an average-sized car. But these difficulties were solved after he became famous because some companies generously promised to provide lifelong service for him. In 2013, Kösen married a Syrian woman named Merve Dibo. In an interview, he said that his biggest problem with his wife was communication as he speaks Turkish, but his wife speaks Arabic. On Guinness World Records Day in 2015, Kösen met for the first time the world’s shortest man Chandra Bahadur Dangi in London, who is 54.6 centimeters tall.
