测试二

Text 1

M: Dear, I can't find my blue tie. Could you help me find it, honey?

W: Sorry, I'm a bit tied up right now. The children's food isn't ready yet and their school bus will be here in just twenty minutes.

Text 2

M: Hi, Crystal. Is your plan finalized for this summer?

W: Except for who to live with. I decide to share my room like you do. Where did you find information?

M: There are several websites. You can find what you need online.

Text 3

M: Hi, Jessica, this is Mr. Brown. I want to check if you're still available to babysit my kids this Friday night.

W: Yes, Mr. Brown. What time would you like me to come over?

M: How about 6 p.m.? My wife and I are leaving for a concert at 6:15.

W: Okay, 6 p.m. works for me. See you then.

Text 4

W: Jack, did you finally decide on a new gym?

M: No, I didn't. I'm searching for a workout partner first.

W: How lucky! My brother Henry is looking for someone recently, and he is also a beginner.

M: Excellent!

Text 5

W: How does your preparation for next week's exam go?

M: I'm really stressed. There's so much to review. I'm thinking of asking the teacher for some tips.

W: That's a good idea. You can also try to break it down into smaller pieces and review it bit by bit each night.

M: I'll try. Thanks for the suggestion.

Text 6

W: Is everything okay, Simon?

M: Not really, Myra. My friend Joe and I were chatting quite happily, but then somehow, he seemed to lose interest in our conversation. Now I'm worried I've made him unhappy.

W: Did he say or do anything to give you that idea?

M: Actually, no, but something must have happened. I wonder if there's anything I can do to help. Maybe I should call him.

W: You're right. But I think it would be better to text him. Don't get too stressed out about this. Just show your care and say you noticed the sudden change in him earlier and want to check if he's okay.

M: Good idea. I'll do that now. Thank you.

Text 7

M: Can you believe our African volunteer trip is over? It feels like we just arrived here yesterday. Now, we're going to board and fly home. But the two weeks we spend here are incredible.

W: I agree. I wish we could spend another month in these villages. But I'll keep the memories in Congo for the rest of my life.

M: Helping the kids learn English and playing with them — what an experience!

W: But the best part for me was our life lessons. Seeing their positive attitude towards challenges was an inspiration to me.

M: Yes. Also, the friendships we made here. I'll treasure them forever.

W: Me too. By the way, there are many other ways we could organize trips. I've heard of other groups gathering sports groups for volunteer trips.

M: True! We can plan our projects, like building schools or providing food for the homeless. It'll be our way of making a difference.

Text 8

W: Fresh cabbage and fresh tomatoes are in your basket. Bacon is there as well — it's the only item that might not be good for you.

M: We're not children any more. You don't need to look after me like you did in my childhood. Even wives don't worry so much over their husbands.

W: Well, if we want to reach the age of our grandparents', we need to stay healthy. When I queue at the checkout, I am amazed at the unhealthy things some people have in their baskets. No wonder they are overweight, unfit and always feeling ill.

M: I think you have to keep a balance. I try to buy mostly healthy things, but I don't get stressed if I sometimes feel like something less healthy. If I don't feel cheerful, sometimes I have a bar of chocolate.

W: Well, sometimes when I have a headache, I drink hot tea and rest. It helps more than eating unhealthy food.

M: Good idea. You could also try a short walk.

W: I'll try that next time. Thanks.

Text 9

M: Emily, thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to answer a few questions.

W: It's my pleasure.

M: People say you're doing unpaid work in the new season of My Fair Lady. Is this what the show business has become?

W: No, not really. All of my acting in the new season is unpaid, but the staff are paid. This is to raise money for the postproduction of the show.

M: I notice you've tried many different kinds of things: film, TV, and even theater.

W: Yeah, that's how I was trained at university. I work on anything that excites me.

M: Tell us about the six months you recently spent at the workshop of the Film Centre.

W: It was great to work in various labs, such as directors', writers' and so on. It's very helpful for making you a really well-rounded and active member of the film and television industry.

M: Thank you very much, Emily. We look forward to your new season.

M: Welcome to the tennis championship. We appreciate your presence here to cover this exciting sports event.

The championship is set to start next Monday and will run until next Sunday. Each day will feature exciting matches between famous players. Press conferences will be held at the end of each day's play. To attend these conferences, you must have your press card with you. Furthermore, the championship will end with a closing ceremony on Sunday evening. You can look forward to a display of fireworks and live music performances at the ceremony. We hope you can cover that part as well.

That's all from me. If you require information about the match schedules, we have information sheets available here. Later, Mr Robert will introduce some rules you should follow throughout the event. Thank you for joining us and I hope you have a fantastic time here.
