Text 1
W: How was the dinner at Paul's house last night?
M: Well, it was OK, but I made some mistakes. I arrived at 8:00, but I was supposed to arrive 25 minutes earlier.
Text 2
W: What do you think of cloning?
M: Many people are in favor of it. But in my opinion, it does more harm than good.
Text 3
M: What's the reason for the return?
W: I've only worn the dress once and the front pocket already has a hole in it. For such a high price, I expected better.
Text 4
M: You had a busy schedule this term, but your grades were still great. I've heard you playing classical music while studying. Has it helped?
W: Sure. But my biggest advantage is that I limit my phone use. I think you can have a try.

W: For me, preparing food isn't just about making a delicious meal. It's an artistic creation and a celebration of cuisine traditions.
M: You have the right attitude to the position. Do you mind a demanding work environment?
W: Not at all.
Text 6
M: Miss, do you need any help?
W: I want to get fit, but exercise doesn't seem to help.
M: What kind of exercise have you done before?
W: I did jogging now and then, but it was so boring. So I changed to weightlifting, but it was so demanding. And I was afraid of getting injured, so I went bike riding.
M: Oh, I see. I suggest you do different kinds of exercise on one day, or on different days of the week. This will help hold your interest. But you need to be consistent. So you can keep coming back here.

M: Hello, I don't usually see you at the bus stop.
W: Usually my brother drives me home, but he's got football practice today.
M: I see.
W: I could have walked, but I'm bringing my art project home today and I don't want to risk getting it wet.
M: Probably wise! The weather has been crazy today, hasn't it?
W: Yes. One moment we've had bright sunshine, and now it seems that the rain won't stop soon.
M: So is that your art project? It's big.
W: Yes, it's probably the largest painting I've ever done.
M: Can I see it? Oh, it's great! Who's the woman?
W: My aunt. She was kind enough to be my model.
M: Well, you're very talented. I can't draw a straight line without a ruler.
Text 8
M: I cannot believe how bad this game has been.
W: I know. It seems as if they forgot how to play as a team.
M: I think it's because of this new player.
W: What do you mean?
M: He is just taking the ball and not passing it. He keeps trying to score a goal, only to give the ball away.
W: He has come pretty close a couple of times.
M: If they were working as a football team, the score would be 3∶0 by now.
W: It has been pretty dull.
M: The manager needs to make some changes soon. There is only 10 minutes left.
W: It looks like you're getting your wish! He's making a change and choosing another forward!

M: Maya, how did you first decide to live a waste-free lifestyle?
W: Well, I've always read articles on the Internet about all the plastic waste in the ocean. I wasn't throwing away as much as other people. But a few years ago, I went to my local rubbish tip to throw away things I couldn't recycle. I was shocked at the amount of waste there. That was all it took to make me change.
M: So have you changed the way you prepare meals?
W: I'm constantly dreaming up new ways of using up the leftovers. I often pass on those recipes to my friends.
M: Does your new lifestyle make things different for you when you're socializing?
W: Yes. When I go for picnics, for example, the plates and bowls tend to be single-use plastic. They would be thrown away after picnicking. But I would take along my own plate. I am not concerned that I might give others a strange impression.
M: I heard you were recently interviewed on the radio.
W: Yes. It was at one fair I attended. What was great was that I could get my ideas across to a wider audience.

W: Welcome to Inhotim. Now I'll give an introduction to it first. From a distance, Inhotim looks like typical Brazilian countryside, but as you get closer, you notice something a bit unusual. There are tourists walking through the fields and gardens! This beautiful place started as a farm and for many years only farmers lived here. But that all changed in the 1980s when Bernardo Paz decided to use the space for something very different. He created a “Disneyland” for art lovers! Today, people travel from around the world and look at the art. The spaces of Inhotim include more than 500 works by different artists. Besides cultural importance, it also contributes to the local area by creating a lot of jobs — many people work here in the museum, gardens and restaurants. Although it is quite far from the usual tourist spots of Brazil, it is now a very successful and popular outdoor museum.
