Good evening. I'd like to share what my family are doing for a special butterfly species. Our house is located along their traveling path. Sadly, in recent years, we've noticed a sharp drop in the number of them. The main reasons are the loss of natural habitats and the shortage of milkweed, the only plant where these butterflies lay their eggs. 

To make a difference, we decided to start in our own yard. We planted milkweed and other plants that provide habitats and food for the adult butterflies. We also asked our neighbors to use fewer insect-killing chemicals in our community. To involve others, I organized some community gardening events. Neighbors and local students joined in, and together we created several butterfly-friendly gardens across our town. 

The results have been encouraging. We now see more butterflies visiting our gardens, and more people in town are playing their part. Many families and schools have started their own butterfly gardens. What began as a small step at home has grown into a wider community effort. It shows that everyone can do something to protect nature.
