M: Hi, Clare! This is Brian. I’m afraid I can’t make it to the concert tomorrow night. I’ve got football practice.

M: At low speed, around 30 kilometers an hour, I think.

W: The truck shot out without warning?

M: No. I didn’t hear any warning sound.

W: Hi, David. There’s a gym opening today in town. Would you like to go with me this afternoon?

M: Yes. I haven’t been to a gym for ages. I really need to do some exercise.

W: Then this is a good chance. They sent me an invitation with a note saying I can take a friend for free on the first day. Also, if we both sign up before Friday, we can get a discount on a six-month membership.

M: Great, count me in. I really want to lose some belly fat, but I’m not sure which of the gym equipment is of best help.

W: Well, I think you can try lifting weights and do at least 200 sit-ups twice a day.

M: I’ve never tried weightlifting before. Is it dangerous?

W: No, not at all, if you know some of the basics.

M: OK. What other equipment do they have?

W: Well, like other gyms, they have sorts of things like up-ride bicycles, rowing machines, and running machines. And I often use running machines to exercise. You could use any of these to suit your purpose. Now the gym opens at noon, so can we meet up in town at 1:30 pm?

M: Perfect, I’ll see you there.

   Some children like to go to the beach to play volleyball, swim and so on. But some hate it. They hate getting sand in their clothes. That’s why this course is so ideal. It’s especially for those who would rather spend time on computer games than run around and get dirty. If you are one of them, this course allows you to design what you like.

   Yes, you’ll get the chance to learn from two experts who will teach you the steps in creating a new game, and teach you how to use various computer programs and build some simple games yourself. You won’t have to sleep in a tent either. And the hotels are too expensive. So participants in the course will stay at our dormitory, where a great canteen is available.

   Due to the popularity of last year’s course, we’ve decided to increase the length of the course. Last year, it was seven days, and this year we’re having an additional two days. To go on the course, you need to be between thirteen and seventeen years old. Places on the course are limited, though. We only have space for twenty-two people. So hurry up and book your place!
