M: Well, when is the next Health Day? I'd love to go, too.

W: The next one is on December 8. Would you like to go with me?

M: Oh, I'm not sure whether I will be available then, but I want to go with you, so I'll try my best. I'd like to go skateboarding.

W: I've done that, so I'm going to try something new — boating in a group.

W: Hello, Michael. How are you doing now? I'm doing very well in New York. I've been here for one month. There are so many things to do and so many places to see that I can't wait to write to tell you. 

I'll start my language studies at Columbia University next week. That is the reason why I come here. I've got used to living here after I learned something about its culture and lifestyle. When it comes to the life here, I'm surprised to find some of the customs here are different from those in my country. For example, it's suggested you make frequent eye contact with others while communicating, which is regarded as a good way to show sincerity. But back in China, staring at someone all the time can be viewed as impoliteness. Besides, if you are invited to someone's house, you'd better arrive on time or 5 minutes earlier at most rather than as early as possible as we Chinese do. 

Hope we can keep in touch and I will share my experience with you.
