W: The danger of nuclear power to health, safety, and even life itself can be summed up in one word: radiation. Nuclear radiation is mysterious, partly because it cannot be detected by human senses. It can't be seen or heard, or touched or tasted, even though it may be all around us. There are other things like that. For example,radio waves are all around us but we can't detect them or sense them without a radio receiver.Similarly, we can't sense radioactivity without a radiation detector. But unlike common radio waves, nuclear radiation is harmful to human beings and other living things.

At very high levels, radiation can kill animals or human beings outright by killing cells in vital organs. But even the lowest levels can do serious damage. There is no level of radiation that is completely safe. If the radiation does not hit anything important, the damage may not be significant. This is the case when only a few cells are hit, and if they are killed outright, your body will replace the dead cells with healthy ones. But if the few cells are only damaged, and if they reproduce themselves, you may be in trouble. They reproduce themselves in bad ways. They can grow into cancer. Sometimes this does not show up for many years. Radiation can hurt us. We must know the truth.

Hongcun is an ancient village in southern Anhui Province, near Mount Huangshan. Locals built an advanced water system by introducing nearby river water into a manmade waterway that travels through the village. M: Hello, everybody! Here I will share with you something about a famous runner Fauja Singh.In April 2011, Fauja celebrated his 100th birthday. He ran the Toronto Waterfront Marathon in Canada and became the first person aged 100 years old to finish a marathon. But Fauja didn't run his first marathon until the year 2000. Why not? W: I'm Rachel from the University of Chicago. I've been attracted by happiness most of my life. When I was a small girl, I noticed that though many of the adults around me were wealthy and educated, they were not happy and this sometimes led them to behave in strange ways. When I was at university, I tried to discover what made people happy. One of the silver linings of the global virus threat is that it has sped up the development of what has been called the Health Silk Road. It seeks to strengthen and renew ancient links between cultures and people. Not long after, China sent a train with masks and protective suits to Spain. It took 17 days to travel the 13,000 kilometers. Although air travel is quicker, the Health Silk Road offers a cheaper and eco\|friendly way to connect China with major European cities. By the end of March, China has offered help and equipment to fight the virus to 89 nations around the world, including the Philippines, Liberia and Czech Republic. It has also given $20 million to the World Health Organization to help fight the virus, but it is the development of the Health Silk Road that has allowed China to help so many people.
