W: Hi, Mr. Murphy. I called you at breakfast time and again after lunch. My fridge needs an urgent repair.

M: OK. I'm having dinner now, but I'll come straight afterwards.

  

M: I thought you didn't like cars in that color. You said there were so many blue cars on the street, and you thought they were boring.

W: But this is a special one.

W: Come inside now. You've been playing football for two hours. It's time for bed.

M: Oh, Mom! It's only nine o'clock. None of my friends ever go to bed before ten.

W: Maybe none of them have to be up as early as you.

  

W: Cut. Start from the top! Leo, please, let's try that line again with more enthusiasm.

M: I'm trying. It's getting late, and we've been shooting this scene for hours.

W: Your character is falling in love. Show us some emotions! Cameramen, get ready to shoot!

M: A day? You're joking.

W: Yeah. I really think watching TV is a waste of time.

M: Well, I disagree. Some programmes are bad, like those soap operas. But what about the sports or news programmes? You watch those sometimes, don't you?

W: Well, actually, for the news, I prefer the Internet.

M: Why?

W: Because it can give you a lot more information.

M: Me too. It's amazing to think of the people who walked on this land and how different life was for them back in the old days.

W: Can I take your photo here?

M: Yes, and then let's climb the steps to the top of the tower. The view from there will be fantastic.

W: This is the 6 o'clock news for Tuesday 25 November. And first the headlines: The government has promised to help the poor farmers in the northern part of the country who haven't seen rain for nearly two years. And in Sydney a group of school children are successfully rescued from a plane which landed in the sea shortly after take-off. Transport workers are on strike in Melbourne asking for a pay rise. And the strike may spread to other states. Now let's focus on the school children. They were traveling in a plane from Sydney to Queensland to take part in a musical concert. They found themselves swimming to the shore when their plane had to land in the sea just three minutes after taking off from Sydney Airport. The pilot managed to bring the aircraft and its 50 passengers down safely in the calm waters of Botany Bay where boats were able to come to the rescue of the children. It was a weekend, and there were hundreds of boats in the bay enjoying the good weather. This undoubtedly helped the rescue operation. The children said they owed their lives to the skill of the pilot. But the pilot replied modestly that it was all part of a day's work. However, all their musical instruments were lost and they never got to play at their concert.
