W: Excuse me, is there something wrong？

M: I'm going crazy！There's paper being stuck in this photocopier. I only need a few copies, but I can't get it to work again. Oh, I don't even know where the paper is jammed.

 

  

M: I hate my job. I want to work somewhere where I don't have to wait tables and deal with people every day.

W: Yeah, get out of customer service！You should be an accountant or work online at home.

 

  

W: Good morning. What a surprise to see you here！You're doing your morning exercise, too, aren't you？

M: Yes, I've been jogging for fifteen minutes. It's wonderful here. Fresh air, clear skies, beautiful flowers...

 

  

W: The construction in front of our building has been going on for about two months now, and it's driving me crazy！Plus, there's no reason why they need to start at 7 o'clock in the morning.

M: True enough. Let's see what we can do about it. I'll talk to them, first thing.

 

  

M: OK, the number is...M64. Does anyone get number M64？

W: Oh, yes! I've got M64！This is amazing！I've never won anything like this before！I'm so happy！

M: Well, you'll be even happier when you start watching your favorite programs on it at home!

M: Cathy, you look worried. Why？

W: According to the screen， our flight to Sydney has been delayed by 3 hours, so now we won't be boarding the plane until 2 p.m. But we have a meeting at night.

M: That shouldn't be a problem. The meeting with our customers won't be started until 8 o'clock.  Unfortunately we won't have time to take a tour of the city as we planned. I have been looking forward to it for a long time.

W: What a pity！However, we can look around next time.

W: Well, I'm not interested in computer games. I think it makes no sense spending time playing something with strangers. I prefer chatting face to face with my friends.

M: I like chatting with friends, too.

W: Oh, it's time for class. Our English teacher is coming. After class I'll introduce you to some of my friends.

M: Hello, everyone. My name's Ben. I'm from a group called "Nature". We run courses for young people like you to do during weekends. Now I'd like to tell you about the courses you can do on Saturday mornings. You can learn a lot about things like science and maths at school. These courses are really about giving you students the chance to come and find out wildlife. It's an area that tends to get forgotten. We usually take students to a wild place that's near their homes. Sometimes we go to a beach or a lake, but we've planned for you to go to a forest this time. That's the closest place for you, and the easiest to get to. Taking part in our activities means you get to do all sorts of things including building a fire, which you wouldn't normally be allowed to do at home. While you're with us, we'll also show you how to make things out of different materials. On the last course, everyone designed backpacks which they were very pleased with. This time we'd get you to design and make a birdhouse. When it is finished, you can take it home and show it to your family. We think you'll really enjoy this. Now, we'd like you to come and do some activities with us. You will spend three hours each week with us and the courses last for 12 weeks. That might sound a long time, but we think you'll not be sorry when it's over. Now, any questions?
