第三节
听下面一篇短文。按照你所听内容的先后顺序将下列图片排序。短文读两遍。
W: Many Chinese students don’t pay much attention to spoken English after school. They think it is necessary to practise speaking English in class, but not out of class. Here is a story to show you how important it is to speak English freely in everyday life.
A woman from China once got hungry and went into a restaurant in London. She sat down at a table. When the waiter came, she opened her mouth, put her fingers into it and took them out again in order to express that she wanted something to eat. The waiter soon brought a cup of tea. The woman shook her head. The waiter then took away the tea and brought a glass of lemon juice. The woman again shook her head. She tried again and again, but she couldn’t speak English and she wasn’t able to make the waiter understand her. Finally a Chinese man came in. He spoke English clearly and freely. In a few minutes, there was a bowl of noodles with beef on the table before her.
