W: There are many festivals in China. Here are some of them. The Spring Festival is the most important festival of the year. It’s usually in January or February. It is a time for families to be together. People wear new clothes and visit their close relatives like grandparents, uncles and aunts. The children will get lucky money.

The Lantern Festival is on the 15th of the first month of the Chinese Lunar Year. People admire lanterns and eat yuanxiao on that day.

The Dragon Boat Festival is a festival for over 2,000 years. People have dragon boat races in many places and eat zongzi to remember Qu Yuan on that day.

The Mid-Autumn Festival is the second most important Chinese festival after the Spring Festival. There are many different kinds of mooncakes. On that night of the festival, families get together to enjoy the bright full moon and have mooncakes and fruit.

Teachers’ Day is the best time for us to express our thanks to our teachers. Chinese Teachers’ Day is on September 10th. On this day, students send cards with warm wishes and gifts to the teachers.
