W: I made it with my mum. It took us one week to make it.

W: I'd rather have Chinese food than Western food.

W: I'm going to take the bus. I can get off just outside the airport. It's too expensive to take a taxi.

10.M:I hear you travelled to Hainan last week. How was your trip there?

W: Everything was OK, though it was a little hot.

W:Good morning. Can I help you?

M: Yes, please. Do you have a 4-day trip to Harbin?

W: Sorry, but there's a 5-day trip, from July 3rd to 7th.

M: How shall we travel?

W: You'll take a train to and from Harbin, and you'll travel by sightseeing bus around the city.

M: How much does it cost?

W: 1, 000 yuan per person. It includes your stay in a 3-star hotel, breakfast and supper. But it doesn't include lunch.

M: Well, that sounds interesting. Could I book a trip for two?

W: Certainly.

M: For your next trip, why not visit Singapore? Singapore is to the south of China, and it is a nice place to visit. It has a very famous zoo, a bird park, museums and some other attractions. It is also a wonderful place for shopping.

Don't plan to drive a car in Singapore. The traffic is heavy in some parts of the city and most cars are not allowed to enter the centre of the city. If you decide to visit Singapore, bring enough money. Living in Singapore is quite expensive. Also, pack light clothes. It is hot in Singapore all year round.

W: Dear Liz,

My stay in Thailand has certainly been a wonderful experience of my life.

I'm very lucky because my host family is in a nice quiet area outside the city. There are Mr. and Mrs. Smith, their son Tom, who is 18, their daughter Mary, who is 16, and Grandpa and Grandma.

I go to an international school with Tom and Mary. The school teaches students mainly in English and Thai. The cooking lesson is my favourite. When I come back, I'm going to cook you a traditional Thai meal.

Last weekend we visited some temples. We also drove to a beach. Next month they're taking me to a famous island, where the beaches are even more beautiful. 

I'm amazed by everything in this country, especially by the elephants. Elephants are an important part of Thai culture. They have been a traditional symbol of Thailand for many years.
