M: Sure. Go straight and turn right at the traffic lights onto Rainbow Street, and then turn left. Go straight for about five minutes. The Business Center is on your right, next to the bus station.

  

 

M: I spoke to James today. He said house prices in London have gone through the roof.

W: Yeah, I heard. Is James going to buy a house there?

M: Well, only if the bank will lend him some money.

 

 

W: Is it really necessary to speak so loudly when I am only a couple of feet away?

W: Did you find the book for your reading assignment in the library?

W: How do the other people in the office think of Tammy?

M: I'm not sure, but it's pretty obvious that she is Mr. Ainsworth's favorite person in the office.

W: Today is World Elephant Day，a day focusing on the protection of elephants across the world.  The two main species are African elephants and Asian elephants. Both are endangered due to illegal hunting and habitat loss.  Although many countries have banned elephant hunting，the illegal ivory trade has increased in recent years. Therefore，we should never ever buy products made of ivory. Two years ago，my family traveled to an Asian country. My father showed interest in an ivory product，but I talked him out of buying it.We should also not watch any elephant performances. Elephants have to suffer a lot during the training. They are beaten frequently. If we don't go to watch such performances，they won't be trained and beaten.  Third，we should encourage zoos to create environments similar to their native habitats. They should be located in a warm climate so that the elephants can spend all year outside and live a healthy life.
