 When he was only 20, he went to London.

In 1876, Van Gogh worked as a teacher in England, but disappointed by the lack of prospects, he returned to Holland. In early 1886, Van Gogh went to live with his brother in Paris.

He died when he was 37. He left more than 2, 000 paintings and drawings.
