M: My initials are JP. In Spanish they are pronounced "ha-pay". And my Mexican friends called me so when we were in Mexico.

W: What inspired you to become an artist?

M: My father was an oil painting artist. He used to work in the living room. One day when I was six, I put some paint on one of his paintings when he was out. First he was mad. Then he laughed. That was all it took to make me an artist.

W: How do you describe your work?

M: My work speaks to the five-year-olds in all of us. Though we become experienced when we grow up, we are always five years old at heart. We all want to have fun.

W: That's a unique idea, which is why your art is so special. Thank you very much for coming, Happy, and for bringing us so much happiness.

I have traveled to many European cities, like Paris, Berlin and London. But this year my trip to Europe started in Rome  and my favorite part of it was the visit to The Scared Wood of Bomarzo. Combining nature and art, it was built in the 16th century by Prince Francesco Orsini, and dedicated to his beloved wife Giulia Farnese who died too young. It was a pleasant experience to walk through the land. The garden has beautiful sculptures in a Mannerist style designed by the artist Pirro Ligorio. Additionally, I enjoyed learning about the importance and significance of water and fountains as a status symbol in ancient Rome. We also saw various splendid and storied fountains in Rome that shape the feel of the city. We visited a wine factory and had wine each dinner. I think for most people they would like them. Most of the food was great, and for dinner, we had three-course meals. Having three courses with wine is the typical way Italians eat dinner. I think for most people they would like them. We tried three different wines, one white and two reds. One red wine was dry and had a complex flavor compared to the other red wine. During our tasting, we were served a selection of cold cuts, vegetables, olive oil, and cheese.
