W: Where are you planning to take your vacation, Ken? Are you traveling abroad?

M: No, I have to stay at home to take piano lessons, I guess.

 

W: Excuse me, I want to go to the nearest bank. But I am not sure of the bus. Is it No. 276 or 367?

M: Neither. Just walk all the way down Central Street, and then catch Bus No. 267 at the bus stop. It will take you there.

 

M: This is the best game ever, isn’t it? Everyone is so excited.

W: Well, I can’t see anything because people in front of me always stand up. They really bother me.

M: Why do you choose to go to Singapore?

W: I’ve been to most of famous tourist destinations, but I’ve never been to Singapore. My sister said it’s a good place to visit.

W: I have made all the arrangements in advance. Besides, I’ve asked my sister to take care of my business until I’m back.

M: So how long do you think you will be there?

W: It depends, but no more than a fortnight.

Good morning, students. Here are morning announcements for Monday. First comes a reminder to all students that due to the construction of the new cafeteria, students are asked to eat in the gym. This means that lunchtime sports will have to be played on the outdoor courts until further notice. Our midterm tests will be held this week from the 12th to the 14th. However, there is a slight change to the dates and the places of the exams. Last year, the English exam was on Wednesday, the math exam on Thursday, and the history exam on Friday. This year, teachers have agreed, after  listening to students’ suggestions, to switch the dates of the math exam and history exam. As for the places, please check the message board in the main hall, or ask your teachers for a schedule. Tomorrow, we will have a special guest coming to our school. As you know, one of our previous graduates won a gold medal in the last Olympics. He will be here to sign shirts and take pictures with students after an introduction by our P.E. teacher.
