M:No, I have a group of students that walk with me.
W: And what do you study at school?
M: We study writing, reading and math. And, let me see... we do gym too.
W: Now what time do you go home from school?

W: Hello Ian. Have you finished the homework? Who did you write about?
M: Yes. I wrote about my dad because he is a firefighter.
W: Really? Did he actually go into burning buildings?
M: Yes, and he sometimes has to crawl into tight places to rescue people. He once broke down a door and carried a little girl out of her house. Someone had left the stove on, and it ignited a fire in the kitchen.
W: Was everyone all right?
M: All five people living there escaped safely, but the house was burned to the ground.
W: Your dad is incredibly brave, a real hero. Maybe I should become a firefighter someday.
M: I'm definitely going to be a firefighter, Wendy. I want to be just like my dad.

M: Sara! It's nice to see you again.
W: You know, Ben, I have been intending to call you for a long time.
M: Me, too. How have you been?
W: Pretty good.
M: Last time I saw you, you were planning to go to law school, weren't you?
W: Yes, I was. But I changed my mind. I've decided to become a doctor.
M: Oh, really? What changed your mind? I think studying law is boring.
W: No, studying law can be very interesting. But as we know, this year COVID-19 has affected our life greatly. Many people lost their lives and jobs. Many schools are under lockdown. We are relying a lot on doctors. So I'm applying for a medical school.
M: That's very good.
W: What about you? Are you still interested in studying business?
M:Yes, I am applying for Harvard Business School.
W: That's great. Good luck to you.

听下面一段对话,回答第14至第16三个小题。现在你有15秒钟的时间阅读这三个小题。
M: Hello, Freya. Mountain biking is a popular sport among teenagers but there are fewer girls doing it. Am I right?
W: Yes, although we're growing in numbers. When I was 13, my dad bought my brother a mountain bike but I was given an ordinary one. I really wanted to join my brother, so in the end my uncle got one for me.
M: And now you're a winner?
W: Yes. I just won the Regional Championships. It was a difficult course with lots of rocks. At one point I thought I wasn't going to win. I was ahead and then I had to slow down because a photographer jumped out from behind a tree.
M: What do you think is the most important before a race?
W: Well, there's much to do. Take plenty of exercise to keep fit. Check the route in advance. And the most important thing I think is that you must make sure everything on the bike is working. If there's anything wrong with the bike, you will be in trouble. And the clothes shouldn't slow you down so they need to be tight. You might feel a bit uncomfortable when you first put them on, but you will soon get used to them. I'm not bothered about not looking pretty — I just want to win.

M:Good morning, ladies and gentlemen.I'm pleased to meet all of you here because you are my special guests.Welcome to the museum of our company. My name is Brown.I am the general manager of the company. As you all know, we mainly make computers and also make some other products. But we are quite interested in education. That's why we have founded this museum. We hope children can learn how computers have been developed, how they are made and how they are used in industry, agriculture, scientific research, and many other areas. Children can try the computers. They can push buttons and listen to stories about computers, and they can enjoy video shows.I know you are all teachers, and you know what school children really need.So I hope you can give me some advice after you have looked around.I want our museum to be the best when it opens to all school children. This is Tom, my assistant. He will tell you more about our museum.I'll be with you again in one hour and a half.Enjoy yourselves. See you later.
