Text 10

Many of us spend hours dreaming of an adventure.Livae and Qoloni from Solomon Islands spent 29 days doing that. They got lost at sea for four weeks or so. They set off from Mono Island in a small motorboat (18)to travel 200 kilometers to New Georgia Island. It was a trip they had taken several times before. Soon after they set out, they were hit by a storm, and they couldn’t judge their location. The storm blew them off course and they ended up on a small island. Worse still, their cellphones had no service and they couldn’t call the police for help. The two didn’t know where they were but did not expect to be in another country. They survived by eating oranges and other fruits. (19)Eventually, some fishermen rescued them and the local authority provided them with food and some necessities. However, due to their health condition, they’ll have to stay in Papua New Guinea for a little while yet.(20)Rather than being worried about the practical problems, they enjoyed the potentially life threatening experience. They believed it was the best adventure they had ever had.
