W: Oh, yeah. I'd love to go to the party, but my grandparents will come to my house then, so I will have to keep them company.

W: It's time for a performance by animals. Maybe they are watching.

 

 

M: What time does school in your country usually start?

W: Well, usually it starts at 8:00 a.m. But in our school, we usually begin reading at 7:30 a.m., and I usually arrive 15 minutes earlier.

W: Peter, what are you going to do?

M: I plan to buy a bicycle. My club will organize a trip to the nearby lake by bike next Saturday. How about you? W: Me too. I need to bike  for exercising.

M: I slipped on the stairs and fell down. I think that my arm was broken. Can you help me ask for leave?

W: Of course. I'll tell our teacher about it.

M: Hey, your father said you started swimming this summer. 

W: Yeah, it's my new hobby. 

M: What made you decide to start swimming?

W: Well, my mother goes swimming twice a week. She usually asks me to go with her. Influenced by her, I feel the joy of swimming gradually.

M: Then how often do you usually swim? 

W: I try to swim at least once every weekend. How about you? 

M: I usually go for a swim twice a month. Maybe we could go together next time. 

W: That's a great idea.

Hello, everyone. Many original artworks are going to be on show next month. The exhibition will include  over 100 artworks of different styles, which are produced by 58 local artists. It will be held at the Art Museum, which is opposite the post office in 9th Street, just between the Children's Park and the City Library. The exhibition will run for about eight weeks, beginning on June 26 and continuing until August 21, so there's plenty of time for you to go and have a look. What will you see? Well, there will be some exciting pieces of modern jewelry, furniture, metalwork and sculpture. The local artist Kate Green will be there to discuss her works of pots and bowls that  resemble vegetables, which she thinks are something to brighten up dining tables. Cathy Brown will also be there to talk about her silver rings. Some of her rings are quite extraordinary and have some beautiful colored stones on them. If you prefer sculpture, there's plenty of that, too. Take Susan Smith's white paper sculpture of shoes, for example. It sounds easy, but it looks amazing. All of these works will be on sale throughout the exhibition.
