W: An Unexpected "Gift": An animal shelter in Michigan is given more than 800 parrots by the son of a man who kept them in his house.Three bird protection associations are working together today to rescue the more than 800 parrots.The son of an animal collector whose bird breeding project got out of hand first handed 497 parrots to this shelter, with 339 additional birds.These birds come from an extremely unhealthy environment and the irresponsibility of their owner is unacceptable. According to his son, the owner of the parrots kept them locked in cages in a room in his house and spent $1,200 a month to feed them. They were on top of each other and were choking. They were very, very stressed, hardly moving. Many people were angry at the owner. The workers of the bird protection associations had to take them out and put them in different cages and they will be available for adoption after the examination.
