M: I want to hang out with my friends but I have to finish my project on European painters.
W: Well, the National Museum will hold an exhibition on them this week. I believe it will help you a lot.
M: Anna, I haven't seen you since college! What have you been doing?
W: Mark! What a surprise! I have been working in France. And you?
M: I'm in London now and have been teaching at a school in Hampstead for the past few months.
W: How are your guitar lessons going, Chris?
M: Ah, actually, I've stopped going. I didn't really enjoy them.
W: You've given up so many instruments. Wasn't it the piano last year?
M: Yeah. And I'm going to find a great violin teacher.
W: Are you coming to get the bus home with me, Ben?
M: Not today. My brother's giving me a lift home.
W: On his motorcycle?
M: No, he's already sold his motorcycle. He's got a car now, so he's picking me up in that.
W: Have you seen my new magazine, Dad?
M: Look on the top of the fridge. I had to take it away from your baby brother.
W: OK. It's got something in it about software for drawing on computers. You should read it!

W: Ah yes, I had a great time there last summer. I stayed with a host family. They were really nice and their son showed me around the city. Do you know anyone in Mexico City?

W: There's a new Italian restaurant in town. It's great.
M: Really? Where is it?
W: Well, it's behind a French place, not far from the river, but not on River Street.
M: Oh, I know. It's on Bridge Street, isn't it?
W: Yes, that's right. I was there last week. I think it was Wednesday. No, it was closer to the weekend. Friday evening, that's right. It was really crowded. There were lots of people there.
M: What's the food like?
W: It's good. And the dessert has lots of different flavors. The pineapple one is delicious. And it was not that expensive. It was less than $10, and I paid $9.50.
M: Including a drink?
W: Yes, an orange juice. And if you order it alone, the juice costs $2.
M: Yes, that's a good price.

W: Welcome to the program Your Home Is My Home. Our guest tonight is Brad Philips. Brad, tell us a little about yourself. What do you do?
M: Well, I'm working as an English teacher in Tokyo, Japan. Tokyo is an exciting city, but it's also very spread out. It can sometimes take hours to go from one part of the city to another. When I don't feel like going all the way home, I sometimes stay in a capsule hotel.
W: A capsule hotel? Can you explain what that is?
M: Yeah. It's a hotel with lots of small room. Actually, they're not really rooms. They're spaces that are two meters by one meter, and only a meter high. They are really small, but the hotel is cheap and very convenient.
W: And what's inside each room?
M: There is a bed, a TV...
W: A TV? Really?
M: Yeah, and a reading light, a radio, and an alarm clock. It also has lockers, where you can keep your personal belongings.
W: Really? That's amazing!

M: Excuse me. Do you work in the computer room?
W: Yes, I do. Can I help you?
M: Well, I'm a freshman and I know that I'll need to use the computer room for my work. So I thought I'd stay here and see what I have to do.
W: OK. There are four computer labs open for undergraduates. The names are Wimborne, Franklin, Salisbury and Court. Wimborne and Court are in this building, the Johnson building. Franklin is in the Computer Science building and Salisbury is in the library. There're also three more computer labs that can only be used by the staff.
M: So I can use them whenever I like?
W: Well, you can use them but not whenever you like. In each of the labs there is a reservation book and you can reserve it for two hours daily. You can't use it straight away.
M: Thank you. By the way, I've got to get a username and a password. How do I go about that then?
W: Well, what I'll do is pass you over to my colleague, Jane, as she's in charge of all that. OK, please go this way.

听下面一段独白,回答第18至第20三个小题。现在你有15秒钟的时间阅读这三个小题。
Today, we will talk about a different school.
In Boulder, in the United States, there is a school called the Boulder Outdoor Survival School (BOSS). BOSS is the world's oldest survival school. It teaches people how to survive outside without tents, or even backpacks. In Bryce Canyon, the days are very hot and the nights are very cold. There are no heaters to keep warm. Not everyone wants to go to this kind of school and try living without modern inventions like TVs and computers. Students at BOSS quickly learn that staying positive, working hard, and trying new things are important if they want to complete the training. The people who go to survival camps don't just learn to camp.
Students at BOSS go into the wild for days, and sometimes weeks, to learn how nature can give them everything they need to survive. They learn how to find fresh water, make a fire, find food to eat and use knives. Most of all, BOSS students learn to survive in the wild without harming the environment. After these people go back to the real world, they may never use these skills again. Even if they don't, they will always know that they can live without computers, electricity and cell phones.
