Ⅲ.语篇理解
本题你将听到一篇短文。请你根据短文内容和所提出的5个问题,从每小题所给的A、B、C三个选项中,选出一个最佳选项。
In high school, I was younger than most of my friends. Usually it didn't matter. But turning 16 was different. One by one, my friends celebrated their birthdays by getting a driver's license. But I could only sit in the passenger seat of my mom's car and I felt sad.
Driving culture in the US is big, so getting a driver's license is important to many teenagers. It means freedom, independence and control. I signed up for driver's education. I took driving lessons in my town. My teacher was a serious woman who never said much to me except "Put on your turn signal (转向灯). Turn left. Check your mirrors."
After six months, I began feeling pretty good about my driving skills. I knew how to drive on highways, at night and in the snow. However, on the day of my driving test, I was nervous. When I got into the car, I saw that the person giving me the test was a big man. "I'm not going to be easy on you," he said. "Let's go!" I took a deep breath and turned on the engine.
I passed the test that day and have been a driver ever since.
Ⅳ.听力填空
本题你将听到一篇短文。请你根据所听内容,完成下面的表格。每空一词。
Hi, I'm Louis and I live in a small community in Roseville, California. I have good relationships with my neighbors. But the good relationships don't happen naturally. There are three things you can do to develop good relationships with your neighbors.
Firstly, keep your yard beautiful and clean. For example, you can grow some flowers and clean up your rubbish. If you have dogs, clean up after them, too.
Secondly, if you're going to have activities in the evening with friends and family members, make sure that the activities end at a reasonable time. No neighbor wants to hear your loud music at 2 o'clock in the morning.
Finally, take the time to greet them. Always say hello when you meet and offer cookies to your neighbors nearly twice a month.
If you follow the above advice, I believe it will really improve the relationships and help you have a comfortable experience in your neighborhood.
