一、模仿朗读

W: Seven-year-old Tyler Moon and his dad were riding a motorbike together when they had an accident. They were in the middle of nowhere and both were seriously hurt. They tried to walk the long way back for help, but Tyler's father couldn't make it. Tyler himself also had many wounds, yet he managed to arrive home. He fell down in their front yard. His mother called for help and he and his dad were sent to the hospital.

Many people must have heard of Marie Curie. She was a famous scientist. She was born in 1867 in Poland. She became a home teacher when she left school to help pay for her sister's education. A few years later she left for Paris and went to university.

In 1895, she married Pierre Curie. They worked hard together. They won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1903. Eight years later, Marie Curie won the Nobel Prize in Chemistry on her own. She died in 1934. She was very famous because she was the first person to win two Nobel Prizes.
