一、模仿朗读

W: John bought a pair of trousers online last week. However, when he received them, he found they were two inches longer. Then he went to his parents. "This new pair of trousers needs to be about two inches shorter. Could you help me, please?" His parents were busy and told him to wait a moment. After finishing her work, the mother went to shorten the trousers by two inches. But she didn't tell her husband about it. After supper, the father remembered his son's trousers, so he went and made the trousers two inches shorter.

One day, Fred was playing golf at home. Unluckily, he broke the mirror near the window because he was so careless. He was happy with his idea. When the father came back and looked at himself in the mirror, he noticed he was shorter than usual in the mirror. Then he realized what had happened and got very angry.
