一、模仿朗读

W: The story of Snow White is really interesting! Do you know that Snow White comes from Germany? It's just one story from Grimm's Fairy Tales. The Brothers Grimm started to collect fairy tales in 1806. Why are these German stories so interesting? Maybe it's because they came from a great place, the Black Forest. It's the largest forest in the country. It's a good place to start a story. Don't forget to bring something back if you visit the place. People there are good at making clocks, watches, and musical instruments.

I had an unforgettable experience during the summer holiday. I took part in a camp in July. All the kids at the camp were told to make a video about Harry Potter. At first, I thought this task would be easy. "Just make up a story!" I told myself. However, things didn't go as well as I had imagined. Every one of us had different ideas. It was hard to put so many ideas in a complete story. It took us 3 hours to finish our video. Actually, nothing is easy to do.

Snoopy is the pet of Charlie Brown, whose name Snoopy could never remember. For Snoopy, his owner is just "the round-headed kid" who brings him meals. Snoopy never speaks, but he can make himself understood with body language. Since 1950s, Snoopy has been standing on two legs instead of four and thinking on his own. In Snoopy's little head, he is everything but a dog. Here is one perfect example. Charlie once told Snoopy, "Look, Snoopy. That boy throws a branch. Then his dog will run to pick it up and bring the branch back." Hearing this, Snoopy picked up a branch and threw it.

Anna Sewell was born in England in 1820. In 1834 when she was fourteen, she hurt both of her ankles and was unable to walk any more. In 1871, she was very weak but decided to write a book about a horse. The book was finished and published in 1877. Anna died on April 25th, 1878, five months after her book was published, living long enough to see its success.
